To inspire and support people and organisations to make more environmentally sustainable choices through advocacy, education and engagement.
EarthFest started its development in 2013 by Michael Broadhead with the goal of raising the standards for large scale sustainability events in Singapore and help engage the public on effective changes in lifestyle.
Our first event was in September 2015 with our partner Marina Barrage. The feedback was excellent and since then we began making it a yearly flagship event that happens in January or February. EarthFest is now a project of the charity Center for a Responsible Future.
In 2016 we launched the first crowd based environmental film festival called Earth Film Festival, which became part of the Singapore Eco Film Festival for the 2017 edition. In 2016 we launched the open source project What is My Carbon Footprint. In 2017, we launched EarthLife to help support people in adopting sustainable lifestyles organised around 6 habits of living and started the Zero Waste Challenge.
